Advantage West Midlands

AWM is one of nine regional development agencies across England. Established in 1999 AWM was created in to boost the region’s economy by encouraging sustainable economic development and social regeneration. AWM takes a business-led approach to drive forward economic prosperity in the West Midlands by working with businesses and communities. The agency is due to close in March 2012 and its work be handed over to new Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) but until that time AWM will continue to administer two European funding programs; the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE).
