Top Business Festival Returns for 2016…

Submitted by on February 5, 2016 – 6:10 am |

Leicester Business Festival 2016After the success of the inaugural 2015 event, the Leicester Business Festival is back for 2016!

The 2016 Leicester Business Festival will take place from the 24th October – 4th November. This year’s festival will continue last year’s legacy, hosting business-led events across the region over the two week period.

One of the most culturally diverse and business friendly environments in the United Kingdom, Leicester is a thriving hub in the East Midlands. Last year’s event raised the profile and achievements of Leicester’s business arm to the rest of the country but also to the rest of the world – showcasing some of the biggest and best talent from the area.

Last year’s festival featured 84 events taking place all across Leicestershire, 25 of which were completely sold, and 2016 is set to be bigger than ever with even more events. With seminars, networking and opportunity-focused activities across the region as well as a national conference on the cards, the Leicester Business Festival will welcome delegates from across the UK.

In 2015 85% of the events completely free, the festival was open to everyone from top CEOs to budding entrepreneurs. Nearly 7,000 people took part in the LBF and footfall set to increase exponentially this year.

At present, the Midlands is seeing 40% more growth than anywhere else in the country, and as Leicester plays host to the largest economy in the East Midlands, the business sectors in the region are worth a staggering 19.4bn. With 33,000 businesses, 435,000 employees, easy commutable links across to the rest of the UK and a population of over 1 million spread across the city, it is the perfect area for business to thrive.

The Leicester Business Festival takes off on the 24th October up until 4th November with the aim of showing the UK and the world that Leicester means business.
