Submitted by on September 3, 2014 – 7:00 am |

Mike Hill, chief executive at Graduate ProspectsBusinesses, careers services and universities across the Midlands have more time to enter this year’s Prospects Postgraduate Awards as the application deadline is extended by a week to Friday 12 September 2014.

The Prospects Postgraduate Awards are the only annual accolades in the UK solely dedicated to celebrating excellence and innovation in the postgraduate arena. Entries are invited from businesses collaborating with their local institutions, and media and marketing agencies that develop student recruitment campaigns as well as university marketing teams.

This is the second year that the awards have run and a new category has been introduced to recognise the role careers services play in postgraduate education – ‘Best Careers and Employability Team’.

Entries can be made online at Winners will be announced at a gala lunch in November at The Midland Hotel, Manchester. Updates can be found on Twitter @postgradawards.

Mike Hill, chief executive at Graduate Prospects, which runs the awards, said: “The Prospects Postgraduate Awards offer a unique opportunity to show off the work you do in postgraduate education. As well as recognising the universities and campaigns that drive students to embark on postgraduate study, we reward businesses that work with institutions to ensure courses meet the needs of commerce.

“We know there will always be people preparing entries at the last minute, so we hope to relieve some of the pressure by giving them an extra week to apply.”

Categories include:

  • Best business partner
  • Best agency
  • Best prospectus
  • Best website
  • Best international campaign
  • Best university campaign
  • Best faculty campaign
  • Best careers and employability team
  • Best postgraduate teaching team

The Prospects Postgraduate Awards judging panel includes representatives from the NUS, Association of Graduate Recruiters and the Higher Education Funding Council for England. The Awards are sponsored by University Business.
