Saucy new stock at the Tourist Information Centre…

Submitted by on October 16, 2015 – 6:10 am |

Lea & Perrins and Heinz themed productsThe staff at Worcester’s Tourist Information Centre (TIC) are full of enthusiasm for the new range of Lea & Perrins and Heinz themed products available this autumn.

If you want to celebrate your love of Worcestershire Sauce and add some style to your kitchen, come and browse our new tea towels and aprons, available in two colours. Or if you prefer to smother your dinner in Tomato Ketchup or HP Sauce, choose from our colourful mugs, tea towels, aprons and cutlery. The Heinz knife and fork sets are proving very popular already, shaped like miniature bottles of Heinz Ketchup and HP Sauce: the perfect Christmas present for a Heinz fan!

Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce has a culinary legacy of over 160 years and its heritage is known throughout the UK. The brand has been made in the heart of Worcestershire since it was invented, devised by Henry Perrins in the 1830s. Henry soon decided that his creation was inedible and discarded it, but the barrels of sauce were rediscovered 18 months later.  The sauce had mellowed and so the unique flavour of Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce that we know and love today was born.

Ruth Smith, Manager of the Worcester Tourist Information Centre, commented on the new range of stock available: “We are known throughout the world for our sauce and this is a fantastic new range which locals and visitors will love”.

The Tourist Information Centre is situated in the Guildhall on Worcester High Street. For more information please contact the team at touristinfo@hwchamber.co.uk or 01905 726311.
