She said: “All of Home-Start’s work and activities has the best interests of the children at their heart.

“We believe every child needs a happy and secure childhood and that parents play the key role in giving their children that good start in life and helping them achieve their full potential.

“Many parents, desperate to do the right thing to give their children the best start in life, find they are fighting against the odds. That is where we come in.

“The new family co-ordinator is vital to ensure we maintain high standards of practice in supporting families within the Home-Start model,” added Mrs Bryant-Griffiths.

“They will also support the implementation and review of all Home-Start policies and procedures, it is a very important role.”

The new co-ordinator working to a senior post is for 20 hours a week and is subject to a DBS clearance at enhanced level. The salary will be paid on the NJC scale points 22-27.
