Oakland International’s Growth Plan …
In its fifteenth year of successful trading and sustained growth, UK and Ireland specialist supply chain operator Oakland International, has announced senior appointments to support its strong succession strategy, appointing three new board members.
Oakland International MD, Dean Attwell, explained: “After finalizing our next ten year growth plan, we identified a clear need to support the delivery of growth targets by further extending the range of skills on our main Board. It gives me great pleasure to welcome to the Board three of our previous senior management team, Lynsey McIntosh, Ed Ross and Clive Harrison.”
These key appointments will further enhance and strengthen Oakland International’s executive team to create an integrated and strategic leadership function across all operations; ensuring they maintain their market renowned service levels and continue to provide a solid benchmark for food and drink logistics across the UK and Ireland.
Lynsey McIntosh takes on the role of Customer Support Director, with a background in independent sales management previously working for Cadbury Trebor Bassett, has been with Oakland for five years, formerly holding the position of Operations Manager with a focus on administration. Ed Ross takes on the role of Operations Director Designate, has eighteen years experience, ten of which at senior management level, previously holding the position of General Manager with Oakland International for three years, having worked with Christian Salvesen and DHL Supply Chain. Clive Harrison, utilising his distribution and warehouse focused technology advancement experience in the automotive and computer service industries, was previously Oakland’s IT Manager and has been with the company three years, takes on the role of IT Director.
Attwell added: “We have a great team which is capable of great things and we are all delighted to see promotions to Executive Board level being achieved from within, clearly representative of the effectiveness of nurturing and growing in house talent.”
The director appointments indicate a positive rational to retain core skills. Over the coming year strategic focus will remain on further delivery of key partnerships with suppliers and customers.
