New appointment to bring fresh perspective to Avison Young’s property management team…

0Avison Young has appointed a new senior director to head up the accounts division of its national Property Management team, which currently handles £1.7bn worth of transactions.

Sarah Brunt, previous Head of Finance at leading care home provider Sanctuary Care, will lead the delivery of accounts services at Avison Young’s 15 offices across the UK from the centrally located Birmingham office.

Sarah Brunt said:

“This was a fantastic opportunity to join a company entering an exciting phase of growth, The scale and delivery of Avison Young’s Property Management function is unrivalled, so I’m excited by the opportunity to continue to adapt and evolve this dynamic team.”

Bringing experience from prior senior positions at multinational automotive supplier GKN and not-for-profit Housing 21, a key part of Brunt’s role will be implementing change, reviewing processes and futureproofing the business. Building on the expertise gained from her years as a teacher, her remit will also bring a strong people focus to the position, ensuring the function continues to grow and develop talent across the UK.

She added:

Sharon Reilly, Head of Property Management, Avison Young, said:

“The finance team at our Birmingham office forms one of the largest accountancy teams in the region, boasting 120 staff, and the Property Management service currently processes over 1000 supplier invoices a week. Finding the right fit was crucial, as we continue to grow and enhance the level of service for our clients.

“Sarah’s calibre and experience will undoubtedly be a great asset. With her real people focus and extensive management experience, we are looking forward to welcoming her to the team.”

Property Management is one of the five key growth areas for Avison Young globally, building on the existing robust service in the UK and USA. In the UK alone, the Property Management Consultancy team currently has £15bn assets under management and over 15,000 occupiers, employing over 250 people. The team manages a wide variety of property including offices, business parks, industrial, logistics and retail, as well as mixed-use schemes and has a number of high-profile assets under management.
