MARIBEL PREMIERS NEW PRE-THEATRE MENU TO NEW AUDIENCES…
Brindleyplace-based Maribel has unveiled a trio of new menus with the aim of making fine dining more accessible to all. Having welcomed new head chef, Harvey Perttola, earlier this year the restaurant is championing ‘fine dining without the pretence’, and is now offering a lunch and early evening menu, as well as a brand new a la carte and tasting menu.
The arrival of Harvey Perttola back in May saw a new direction for Maribel; making moves to provide a more accessible dining experience. The brand new lunch and early evening menu offers diners two courses for £22 and three for £27. Aimed at nearby workers and theatre and show-goers at neighbouring venues, this menu offers dishes including confit duck leg, beans cassoulet and smoked celeriac risotto, sauté wild mushrooms, as well as the introduction of sides including BBQ broccoli with toasted almonds and honey glazed carrots.
Continuing its relaxed dining offer, the Maribel à la carte menu continues to celebrate great food, created with the finest local produce, with three courses for just £39. Serving-up the same signature style is also the new Taste of Maribel’ nine-course tasting menu, which has received its own overhaul and is now at the reduced price of £65. This menu also has an accompanying £55 wine flight.
Speaking about the new menus, Maribel’s general manager, Gilles Larroque, comments:
“We started life serving high-end food at a high-end price point, not realising we had been alienating a massive percentage of customers. We decided to introduce our reinvented offering to avoid the gimmicks and remove some of the preconceptions around fine dining, allowing our food to reach an even wider spectrum of food lovers.
“Head Chef, Harvey, is really putting his stamp on the menus, creating dishes that have familiarity but taking it to the next level. For too long fine-dining has been out of reach for some, and we are proud that we are breaking down the barriers and celebrating the same quality ingredients and innovative dishes, but in a way that you can enjoy every day. Whether you’re joining us for regular business lunches or a big celebration, we have something for everyone.”
Located at Six Brindleyplace, Maribel is open Tuesday-Friday for lunch (12pm-1.30pm last orders) and Tuesday-Friday for dinner (5.30pm-10pm last orders) and Saturday for dinner (5pm – 10pm). To find out more, view the menus and book, visit www.maribelrestaurant.co.uk.
