MAKE YOUR WINNING MOVE TO BECOME THE NEXT GENERATION OF THE MIDLANDS’ GREAT BUSINESS LEADERS…
great200leadersis a personal performance and business growth scheme, which has been created by Birmingham City Council as part of the Business Development Programme. The scheme, being delivered by Winning Moves, a business improvement consultancy who is managing the delivery of the scheme on behalf of Birmingham City Council, is launching at the end of June, and to attend you will need to register for your place.
To register for the event, which is taking place June 27, at The Studio, 7 Cannon Street in Birmingham, or for more information, visit: http://www.eventbrite.co.uk/event/6989912015/eorg.
The 12-month initiative is aimed at 200 ambitious business owners and directors. great200leadersis a programme of inspirational speakers, high calibre coaching and stimulating events with a top peer group of like-minded business people.
Collin Bell, Consulting Services Director of Winning Moves said: “most businesses hit a level and plateau, their aspiration to grow remains however they can’t step up to the next level of growth. For many this is because they haven’t made the necessary steps themselves, from manager to leader and from good leader to great leader. great200leaders is about creating great leaders who will break through their barriers and do something special.”
The scheme comprises ten full-day workshops with inspirational and challenging keynote speakers. The keynote speaker for the launch event, regarded as a “millionaire mentor”, is Bev James. As a successful entrepreneur, business performance expert, coach, business author and motivational business speaker, Bev has over 20 years of experience in transforming businesses in diverse sectors including coaching, training, recruitment, sales and health and fitness.
As the founder and managing director of the Entrepreneurs’ Business Academy she has joined forces with James Caan, of the BBC’s Dragons’ Den.
great200leaders is for ambitious leaders; those who want to stand out and to build something that’s significant. Bev will explain how all these things can be achieved and, indeed, how anything is possible at the launch on June 27. It all starts with a positive mind-set and behaviour that supports your business goals.
great200leaders is offering 200 business owners or managers more than 100 hours of support through personal coaching, access to leading experts, peer group based workshops and thought provoking seminars delivered by the most progressive of business thinkers. The scheme is part funded by ERDF, and each participant has to contribute one third of the cost, which is £2,000 (plus vat).
The initiative is part of the Business Development Programme (BDP), which is managed by Birmingham City Council on behalf of the GBS LEP and designed to help more than 400 qualifying existing small and medium-sized businesses implement their growth and expansion plans.

Since it started the programme has provided more than £0.3 million in grant funding to 26 businesses – stimulating total investment of some £0.6 million and helping create or safeguard 135 jobs. BDP has received £3.9 million from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and is available to businesses throughout the GBS LEP area which includes Birmingham, Bromsgrove, Cannock Chase, East Staffordshire, Lichfield, Redditch, Solihull, Tamworth and Wyre Forest.
The financial assistance scheme is aimed at giving a financial helping hand to existing SMEs to implement growth and expansion projects.
