Submitted by on March 25, 2016 – 6:10 am |

intu HO SpongeBob Facebook PostWho lives in a pineapple under the sea? This Easter, egg-cited children will have the opportunity to meet SpongeBob SquarePants, the ocean’s funniest sponge, and dive into the underwater world of Bikini Bottom for fun and laughter at intu Potteries.

In partnership with Nickelodeon, intu, owners of prime regional shopping centres across the UK, will be hosting a SpongeBob SquarePants Laughter Party at Potteries over Easter. Get ready to laugh your pants off with a range of family friendly activities that are not to be missed!

SpongeBob SquarePants will be visiting intu Potteries on Wednesday 30 March.
You’ll find him outside River Island at 11am, 12noon, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.

This is a free ticketed event. Availability is limited and is based on a first come first served basis. To secure your place, booking is essential, shoppers can book online at intu.co.uk/potteries or at the customer services desk on the upper mall by HMV.

On the Thursday 31 March, Friday 1, Tuesday 5 and Wednesday 6 April visitors will also be able to dive into SpongeBob SquarePants’ world of Bikini Bottom, to join the ultimate sea-bed laughter party, packed with interactive fun and games including a Limbo Challenge, Hysterical Prank classes, Musical Pant bumps and much more! Activities are free, with no booking required and are open to all ages, but are particularly suitable for children in pre-school and early years. There’s even a competition to win a family break to Nickelodeon Land at Blackpool Pleasure Beach!

intu Potteries marketing manager Sandrine Rutter commented, “We’re really looking forward to seeing the laughter on the children’s faces when they come and have fun at our SpongeBob SquarePants meet and greet sessions and our laughter party over Easter”.

Trevor Pereira, commercial and digital director of intu, said: “During the Easter break it can be difficult for parents to keep children occupied for a whole two weeks; here at intu we want parents to enjoy stress-free shopping trips and what better way than with the therapy of laughter. So in partnership with Nickelodeon we have created an exciting programme of activities for children to enjoy, allowing parents to truly relax in a safe environment.”

There will also be an intu special edition SpongeBob SquarePants magazine, but don’t delay in picking one up as availability is limited and they are likely to fly off the shelves. Activities at intu Potteries start on Wednesday 30 March. Visitors will need to book in advance to meet SpongeBob SquarePants, however all other activities are free and do not require booking.
