Birmingham espresso machine manufacturer Fracino has been voted the nation’s leading supplier of coffee equipment for the second year in a row.

The accolade coincides with an additional 4,500 sq ft expansion of the company’s 45,000 sq ft world-class production facility which has undergone a multi-million-pound investment programme – and where the majority of components are fabricated in-house.

Independent coffee shop owners named the UK’s only manufacturer of traditional espresso machines their first choice in an annual survey conducted by Out of Home (OOH) – an established magazine from foodservice publisher, H2O Publishing.

The multi-award winning business, which exports to over 70 countries worldwide, supplies independents and global brands including Subway®, PizzaExpress, and Living Ventures Restaurant Group.

OOH editor, Henry Norman, said: “The survey is a yardstick of the top brands and products which independent coffee shops – a sector which is valued at £2.4bn – purchase to drive their businesses forward. Fracino has once again emerged as the biggest winner in the beverage equipment category, receiving an increase in the number of votes received in 2018. Well done to the team on sustaining this success.”

Peter Atmore, Fracino’s head of global sales, said: “To be chosen for yet another year as the industry’s number 1 coffee equipment supplier has exceeded our expectations. An enormous ‘thank you’ to everyone involved in this prestigious acknowledgement including our great customers, top team and dedicated distributor network.

“Operating one of the world’s most advanced and efficient espresso equipment manufacturing facilities, our commitment to continually investing and innovating is unwavering.”

Launched in 1963 by founder and chairman Frank Maxwell, the business is further broadening its export horizons to the ASEAN countries and making inroads in the US and Canada.
