Partnership pledges minimum of £10,000 to UK charity to support people with breast cancer
Fitbit, the market leader in connected health and fitness devices, today launched a pink Fitbit Flex™ wireless activity and sleep-tracking wristband to raise funds for Breast Cancer Care. For each pink Flex purchased through the end of 2013, Fitbit will contribute funds to the charity with a minimum of £10,000 pledged to help provide support and information to those affected by breast cancer.
There are 55,000 people diagnosed with breast cancer each year in the UK. Breast Cancer Careoffers clinical expertise and an emotional support network to help thousands of people across the UK find a way to live with, through and beyond breast cancer.
Andy Harris, Director of Fundraising and Marketing at Breast Cancer Care, said:
“Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK, so it’s vital we support the thousands of women and their families who face the devastating physical and emotional impact of living with the disease every day. We’re thrilled to work with Fitbit as a supporter of our cause, and as a company that encourages people to lead a more physically active lifestyle. We couldn’t continue our work without supporters like Fitbit and buying a Pink Flex is a great way to help support our essential services”
Fitbit is on a mission to help people live healthier lives by creating the most advanced connected health products and experiences.
