Events company mclcreate expands Birmingham base…
The new unit in Kings Norton occupies 22,000 square feet, and boasts state-of-the-art facilities for the company’s staff and exhibition inventory including audio-visual equipment, interactive technology and scenic solutions.
The company is building on a long-standing relationship with Birmingham. The Exhibitions team regularly manages large-scale shows at NEC Birmingham, recently including the Photography Show and Spring Fair International.
Richard Wathen, general manager of mclcreate Exhibitions, explained the move:
“These new premises will help the agency to handle bigger projects and ensure more efficient delivery for clients. Birmingham’s reputation for exhibitions, along with the size and customised facilities at the new premises, places us in a strong position within the industry.”
With a network of sites across the UK, the Exhibitions team regularly manages large-scale shows for many of the country’s leading exhibition organisers such as UBM and i2i, and works at some of the UK’s most high profile venues including ExCeL and the Ricoh Arena.
The company’s emphasis on innovation and technology is in keeping with Birmingham’s growing reputation as a tech hub.
mclcreate also has an events office in Kings Norton, where it employs over 40 project managers, audio-visual technicians, and IT specialists.
It recently launched ‘into’, a customisable smartphone app designed to improve the delegate journey at business events and conferences.
