CLIFTON NURSERY CELEBRATES GOOD OFSTED RATING…
A Clifton nursery is celebrating its ‘Good’ Ofsted rating following its latest inspection by the governing body.
Mama Bear’s Day Nursery & Pre-School at Oakfield Road, Clifton was rated Good in all areas including management, teaching, personal development, behaviour, welfare and outcomes for children.
The nursery has been praised for monitoring each child’s development individually and closing any emerging gaps in learning and development. The inspector also highlighted that staff are good role models with children demonstrating kind and considerate behaviour because of the high expectations laid out by staff.
Mama Bear’s Clifton Nursery Manager, Justyna van de Laan O’ Donnell, said: “We are thrilled to have received a Good Ofsted rating and very proud to receive such a glowing report.
“The inspector said that our well qualified staff work very well together as a team and that by building secure attachments with a key person children settle quickly and become self-assured and confident learners.
“They also praised the close working relationship we have with our parents. We like to involve parents in their child’s learning as much as possible with regular meetings and ideas on how to support learning at home.
“We were also pleased that the report highlighted the way we prepare children for the next stage in learning, including going to school and that is something we’re very proud of.”
