Cheltenham Bikes donate Christmas tree to National Star College in recognition of continued working relationship…
Cheltenham Bikes has worked with The National Star College on a number of projects over the past year, including supporting their Steps to Work programme and the Star Cycling Challenge in April. They will be donating a Christmas tree to National Star as a gesture of good will and recognition of the continued working relationship.
Cheltenham Bikes began selling Christmas Trees for the third year running as of 26th November 2015.
The business has been a stockist for Christmas Trees since 2013 and maintains several local schools, hotels & businesses as loyal customers.
Cheltenham Bikes received the trees on the 26th November and offered the chance for customers to pre order their tree in advance.
The locally sourced Trees are of the Nordman Fir variety, known for their longevity and limited needle drop.
The National Star Traineeship/Steps into Work programme has enabled students of the college to work up to 16 hours a week, at the Unit on the platform of Cheltenham Spa Train station. The programme provides the student with experience of bicycle maintenance and repairs with the aim of assisting them with future job prospects.
In September 2015 Cheltenham Bikes donated five bike wheels in support of a recent fundraiser in which the College raised £2000. The photo shoot comprised of a number of fundraisers holding up the wheels to represent the 0’s in £2000.
The donation of the 6’ Nordman Fir takes place on the 30th November 2015 at the Star College in Ullenwood, Cheltenham.
