Charity quiz night back by popular demand…

Submitted by on August 3, 2015 – 6:20 am |

Dawn Walker, Manager, Expectations! Recruitment ServicesBack by popular demand, Midlands business Expectations! Recruitment Services is hosting its second annual quiz night, in support of local charity Molly Olly’s Wishes. Last year, the company raised £1,091 for Molly Olly’s Wishes through both the quiz night and additional fundraising and has hopes to raise £1,500 this year.

Midlands Charity Molly Olly’s Wishes support children with life threatening or terminal illnesses. A key initiative of the charity is to fund ‘Olly the Brave’ cuddly toys, which have been designed to try and help children come to terms with some of the more unpleasant aspects of their treatment.

Expectations! Recruitment Services work to support Molly Olly’s Wishes, raising money to fund ‘Olly the Brave’ toys which cost £15 each. Their hope this year is to raise £1,500, paying for 100 ‘Olly the Braves’, having funded 73 of the toys in 2014.

Dawn Walker, Manager of Expectations! Recruitment Services Leamington Office, said: “We were all so touched by the tremendous work that Molly Olly’s Wishes do and we are so proud to help. The bravery of the children and their families is remarkable and we are so pleased to extend our support for this fantastic charity for a second year.”

“Our quiz night is a fun fundraising opportunity and we need teams to enter for just £10 (or more if they would like), helping us reach our £1,500 target this year. Each ‘Olly the Brave’ toy costs £15 and our aim is to pay for 100 of them, if not more.”

The quiz is being held on 24 September 2015 at the Irish Club in Leamington. A team of four can enter for £10 and all proceeds will go to Molly Olly’s Wishes. Expectations! is also looking for raffle prize donations for the night too.

Rachel Ollerenshaw, Founder of the charity, said: “We are delighted that Expectations! has picked us as their chosen charity for a second year running. Their ongoing support will help us fund lots more ‘Olly the Brave’ toys, helping make children more comfortable with their ongoing treatments.”

Anyone interested in putting forward a team should email or call – 01926 311 222. Donations can also be made to Molly Olly’s Wishes through the Expectations! JustGiving page:
