Birmingham PR agency celebrates taking home the Gold PRide Award…

Submitted by on November 24, 2014 – 7:15 am |

Tom Parmenter (host and Sky News correspondent), CIPR sponsor, Anthony Aston (Syndicate Communications), Amanda Wood (Syndicate Communications), Eddie Fellows (Amey), Lara Thorns (Amey), Rebecca Murphy (Syndicate Communications), Mark Chambers (Syndicate Communications) and Lisa Dowd (Sky News correspondent). Birmingham based PR agency Syndicate Communications took home a gold and two silver awards at Friday night’s (14th November) CIPR Midlands PRide Awards.

The annual awards ceremony, which took place this year at Coventry’s Ricoh Arena, saw Syndicate Communications win gold in the Public Sector Campaign and silver awards for Regional Campaign of the Year and Integrated Campaign.

The award winning agency fought off 350 entries to be shortlisted for four categories including Public Sector Campaign, Integrated Campaign, Best External Publication and Regional Campaign of the Year.

The Public Sector Campaign award was for the agency’s work on the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills’ ‘Business is GREAT Britain’ campaign and the Integrated Campaign and the Regional Campaign of the Year awards were for Syndicate Communication’s work with Amey and Birmingham City Council to promote the closure of the A38 tunnels into Birmingham City Centre last summer.

Anthony Aston, Client Services Director for Syndicate Communications, said, “We are thrilled to have won a gold and two silvers at this year’s CIPR PRide Awards. We would like to thank everyone involved in the campaigns and those who have provided us with continued support.

“We had a fantastic night and it is great to see everyone from the industry coming together to recognise and reward the inspirational work of leading public relations teams and consultancies in what is a very strong Midlands region.”

Jim Oldham, Account Director for Amey’s Birmingham Highways Maintenance and Management Service said: “We are delighted to have been recognised alongside the City Council and Syndicate Communications at these prestigious awards.

“The success of the A38 tunnels campaign and the amount of behavioural change we were able to achieve to reduce disruption while works were carried out was down to a great amount of collaboration between a wide variety of organisations across the city. Our thanks go out to everyone involved.”

The CIPR PRide Awards are recognition of outstanding work and a celebration of the best talent that the PR industry has to offer in the UK.
