Birmingham employers invited to IT apprenticeships information session…
The session is taking place at local training provider NITP’s city centre Academy on Lionel Street. It will kick-off with breakfast at 7:30 followed by talks at 8:00 from the National Skills Academy for IT, BT and UKITA – the trade association that represents the UK’s small and medium-sized technology firms.
The talks will explain how simple it is for smaller organisations to find, hire and develop talented new IT staff through apprenticeships. It will also explain the benefits of the IT Gold Standard Apprenticeship offered by NITP. This has been designed with employers’ needs in mind and ensures apprentices settle into the workplace and become productive more quickly than other schemes.
Over 200 apprentices working for more than 170 employers have already joined the scheme nationwide, with 75 more due to start in Birmingham and the West Midlands by the end of the month.
To register for the event – or for further information about recruiting an apprentice – employers can visit http://www.itskillsacademy.ac.
